Charles David Shaver passed away two days shy of his 77th birthday on December 7, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 9th, 1946, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Connie and Grace (Becker) Shaver.
He served the United States during the Vietnam War in the Army.
Charles was husband to Debbie Shaver of Terlton, and a loving father to his children Sunday Cupps and her husband, Ray, of Tulsa; Kenneth Akers of Sand Springs; and Chasidy Dobbs and her husband, Brian, of Tulsa. His legacy will live on in the laughter and lives of his adoring grandchildren: Cody, Matt, Misty, Mikey, Colton, Nate, Ana, Addison, Aiden, Jayden, Joe, Gavyn, Kobe, Kenneth Jr., Wyatt, Zoe, and Kaylee, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a sister, Linda Sue Patterson of Okmulgee; a brother, Ronnie Ray Shaver of Choteau; and a sister, Connie Jean Shaver.
Charles was welcomed into eternity by his late parents, his beloved grandson Robby Russell, and his brother Larry Lee Shaver. Charles was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. An avid lover of the outdoors, his happiest moments were spent fishing, camping, and imparting life's lessons to his family amidst nature's backdrops. His hands, always ready for work, were skilled in mechanics, bringing motors back to life with practiced ease and creativity.
To the world, Charles was known as a gentle and interesting soul, whose presence brought comfort and inspiration. His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will continue to kindle light in the hearts of those who knew him.
Viewing will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2:00PM, at New Sonora Cemetery with Ronnie Shaver, officiating. Services have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service.
