The sunset on the life of Jimmy Richmond "Jim" Fife, a resident of Okmulgee, on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Okmulgee, OK at the age of 73. His sunrise was July 19, 1948 in Claremore, OK, born to Joe Fife & Juanita (West) Fife.
Jim graduated from Dustin High-School in 1966.
Jimmy served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Seoul, Korea, where he was trained as a military policeman. He was offered a job with the police department, but wasn't interested.
He worked as a welder most of his life until retirement.
In his early years, he drove sports cars: Mustang, Convertible Blue Pontiac GTO, Smoky and the Bandit car - Black Trans Am and a Plymouth Roadrunner.
His hobbies included: Fishing, reading, Western Novels, working on cars and traveling with his companion.
Jim was baptized by Rev. Eugene Whitlow on June 23, 2020. He became a member of Thewarle Indian Baptist Church in Dustin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Juanita (West) Fife, younger bother, Joey "Red" Fife, younger sister, Frances "Beep" Fife Belcher and close companion, Judy Bruner.
Jimmy is survived by his stepchildren, Sherry and Michael Tiger, grandchildren; Kyla Tiger, and Nick Tiger & wife Heather, sister, Anna Jo Fife, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Integrity Chapel.
Wake Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 6-8PM at Integrity Chapel.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Thewarle Indian Baptist Church in Dustin, Oklahoma with Rev. Jake Bigcloud Lewis, officiating. Interment will follow at New Sonora Cemetery with Military Honors by the US Army. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
