Leota Withrow

This May 29th, 2021, Mrs. Leota Withrow took her final breath, surrounded by her loved ones. The sun rose and the world welcomed Leota on February 25, 1924, a day the world became a little brighter being born to Ed F. and Mary Lucy Coleman. Leota lived a full and warm life, filled with joy, happiness, and loving of her family. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Our mother, Leota, was one of the strongest, most courageous, bravest, loving and kindest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Leota was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Leota married Jack Wilson Withrow on January 7, 1943, in Okmulgee County and went on to have 6 children.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Leota also loved Cooking. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was a member of the First Christian Church for most of her life.

Leota was preceded in death by, husband Jack Wilson Withrow, Daughter, Jenny Withrow, Sisters Maxine Weatherman, Mildred Henderson and Mable Davis, Brother Jessie Coleman, and Son in-Law Roger Eller.

She is survived by Daughters: Betty Eller of Henryetta, Ok, Joetta Collins of Jenks, Ok., and Jackie and Ken Lynch of Henryetta, Sons: Eddie Withrow of Henryetta, Ok, Danny Withrow and Tracy Griffin of Henryetta, Ok.

Grandchildren: Sheri and Mike Whitlow of Henryetta, Ok, Todd Eller, Gary Joe and Kelly Collins of Choctaw, Ok, Shannon Collins of Tulsa, Ok, Misty Collins of Tulsa, Ok, Katy Corley of Tulsa, Kenberly and Sean Chasteen of Okmulgee, Ok, Jackie Wayne and Misty Lynch of Tulsa, Tammy Dawn Graham of Seminole, Ok. and Tiffany Withrow and wife, Tina Underhill of Henryetta, Tammy White and husband Craig, Josh and Ashlie Withrow of Henryetta and Erin and Chance Doty of Henryetta, She had thirty-seven loving great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Wyatt Chasteen, Jordan Freeman, John Freeman, Jackie Wayne Lynch, Gary Joe Collins, and Shannon Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Gilliam, Bob Barnett, and the late Norman Chancey, Norman Lowe, Jimmy Joe Riner and Harvey Gilroy.

Viewing for Leota will be from 3 - 8 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Westlawn Cemetery with Rev. Sherman Leeth, Gary Joe Collins and Dillon Caywood officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
