Alice Marie (Hughes) Taylor

Alice Marie Taylor, a longtime resident of Henryetta passed away Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 in Henryetta at the age of 84. She was born July 30, 1931 in Henryetta to Alvin C. Hughes and Josephine P. (Blackburn) Hughes.

She married Thomas J. Taylor July 30, 1952 in Richmond, California. She lived in Aurora, Colorado for fifteen years and has lived in Henryetta since 1971. She attended the Nazarene Church for many years and sang in the choir. She was a gospel singer & soloist which was her main interest.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Taylor and her sons, Pat Taylor and Michael Taylor.

She is survived by four grandchildren:
Melanie Dexter & Fiance' Charles Sharp of Henryetta;
Brian Taylor of Morris;
Allyson Bentley & husband Clint of Tulsa;
Tommy Taylor & wife Cass of Glenpool;
Four great-grandchildren: Tristin Dexter of Henryetta;
Braylee Dexter of Henryetta;
Emory Taylor of Glenpool;
Elijah Taylor of Glenpool;
A sister, Jeanette Black of Colorado;
Two brothers, Kurt Myers of California;
Mike Hughes of Tulsa;
Also by nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Services are private with Interment in Westlawn next to her husband and beloved son Pat as were here wishes. Arrangements were under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
