Alva Dee "Al" Lawley, a resident of Henryetta passed away on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at his home in Henryetta. Al was born to Willie Lawley and Cora (Horton) Lawley on August 8th, 1927 in Yeager, Oklahoma. He served his country during World War 2 in the US NAVY. Al Married Alberta Morgan on August 16, 1959 in New Mexico. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Cora Lawley, one sister, Thelma Chandler, son-in-law, Tony Rivera, and by one great granddaugter. Al was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise Church in Henryetta and was also a member of the Cattleman's Association. He is survived by his wife Alberta Lawley of the home, son, Stanley Lawley of Georgetown, Texas; daughters, Brenda Rainbolt of Oklahoma City; Keni Landers & husband Marvin of Okemah; Kari Fuller of Henryetta; and Tricia Pearson of Henryetta; nine grandchildren, Mandy Lawley, Willie Lawley, Tara Steinel, Melissa Romesburg, Kyle Rainbolt, Mitchel McMahon, Lindsey Scott, Rachael Rivera, and Morgan Pearson, 14 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters, Marie Griffin of DeQueen, Arkansas; and Wanda Decker of DeQueen, Arkansas; one special brother-in-law, James Chandler of DeQueen, Arkansas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Robert Frost, Jackie Francis, Marvin Landers, Kenneth Rainbolt, Mitchel McMahon and Kyle Rainbolt.. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Bardin, Gary Bardin, Denver Dobson, and Steven Pearson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at Tabernacle Of Praise, Henryetta with Rev. Mike Burns, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
