Alvin Van Nunley, a resident of Schulter passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Tulsa at the age of 68. He was born June 3, 1946 in Russellville, Arkansas to Fred and Eunice (Vick) Nunley. He married Nancy Jo Keeling June 6, 2003 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a heavy equipment operator for Okmulgee County District #3. He was a member of the Schulter Baptist Church, Okmulgee Elks Lodge and a board member for the City of Schulter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Eunice Nunley and his mother-in-law Leona Spear. He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; Daughter, Amy Tyner & husband Chris of Melissa, Texas; Son, Shane Stogner & Ilene Dixon of Okmulgee; Son Steven Stogner & Alissa Rickey of Grove; Son, Scott Stogner of Henryetta; Nine Grandchildren; One brother, Charles Nunley & wife Saundra of Wilson; One sister, Mary Johnson of Schulter; As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Curley Rhine, Joe Bob Duvall, Doug Reese, Lonnie Herring, Steve Hayder, & Donnie Crawford. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Clifford Holmes, Johnny Griffin, Claude Stanke, & Dennis Johnson. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Schulter Baptist Church with Dr. Audie Swinney, officiating. Interment will be in Salt Creek Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service. Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday, January 1, 2014 from 1-8pm.
