Andrew Franklin Cockrell, a resident of Sapulpa, passed from this life on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Sapulpa at the age of 24. He was born on October 7, 1992 in Sapulpa to Albert F. Cockrell and Mabel Lea Ann Partridge Cockrell.
Andrew grew up in Sapulpa, attending Sapulpa Public Schools and he graduated from Sapulpa High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He later attended college at Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah. He was also an Eagle Scout. Andrew loved working with computers and playing chess. Andrew was a loving son and brother and he will be missed by the many people who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Partridge.
Andrew is survived by his parents, Al and Lea Ann Cockrell of Sapulpa; two brothers, Michael Anthony Whitehead of Holdenville and Alexander Glen Cockrell of Quantico, Virginia; by his best friend and companion, Jennifer Nigh of Sapulpa; by his maternal grandfather, Carl Partridge of Sapulpa; and his paternal grandparents, Glen and June Cockrell of Tulsa; by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and other extended family, as well as many good friends.
A funeral service for Andrew will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta with Rev. Bill Oldham officiating. Interment will follow immediately at New Sonora Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be Dale Partridge, Jonas Partridge, Mike Partridge, Brandon Partridge, Andrew Goodman and Shawn Hood. Honorary bearers will be Alex Cockrell, Fred Channel, Steve Morton, Daniel Hensch and Michael Anthony Whitehead.
