Angela Bear Townsend

Angela Lyn Bear "Angie" Townsend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, July 3, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 53. Born on July 26, 1969, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to the late John Bear Sr and Susan (Dunson) Bear, Angie was an embodiment of love and passion. She was a valued member of the community, cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.

Angie was a beacon of strength. She was tiny in stature, but her formidable spirit made her considerably mighty. She was a member of the Glorieta Baptist Church.

She was very athletic and passionate about so many things including softball and cooking for others. But above all else, Angie loved spending time with her children.

Her memory lives on in those fortunate enough to have been part of her life. She is remembered fondly by her children - Ashley and spouse Natalie Ingram of Newcastle; Amanda Ingram and spouse Katie Moiser; Jonna Townsend, Trey Lindsey, Tayler Lindsey and Taryn Lindsey, all of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by her mother, Susan Bear; brother, John Bear and his wife, Tammi, both of Oklahoma City; nieces, Brooklynn Bear, and Candace Cantrell; nephew, Bo Echelle and her three grandchildren, Kaelynn Ingram, Rylyn McLeod, and Annastin James.

Angie exhibited an immense capacity for love, sharing it generously with her family and friends. Her presence alone would light up any room she walked into. She was positive and would make the best of any situation. This was Angie, her powerful legacy of love and compassion will forever remain etched in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.

Angie was preceded in death by her father, John Bear Sr; grandparents, Gene Dunson, Juanita Dunson, and Alice Freeman; and aunt, Wanda Chapo. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the beautiful memories she created will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends. Angie, a remarkable woman, will be missed dearly.

Viewing for Angie will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow at Gravecreek Cemetery in Hitchita. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be; John Bear, Trey Lindsey, Brad Lowe, Troy Lowe, Ivan Bear, and Daniel Harjo. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Marvin Thurman, Tom Chapo, Pete Riley, David Dunson, Marty Dunson, Terry Lindsey, Stuart Williams, and Samuel Roberts.
