Angella Beth Hurt, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in Henryetta at the age of 41 years. Angella was born on May 13, 1969 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Bro. Elroy Martin and LaJoyce Berry Martin. Angela grew up and attended school through the 11th grade in Temple, Texas. She moved to the Morris area, attended school in Morris and graduated from Morris High School. After high school, Angela attended OSU Okmulgee. She later attended Christian Life College in Stockton, California and Texas Bible College in Houston, TX. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma. Angella was married to Dewayne Hurt on August 15, 1991 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She also worked as a counselor for Weight Watchers for several years. She loved the outdoors and especially loved time spent with her children and family. She is survived by her husband, Dewayne Hurt of the home; a son, Colton Hurt, a student at the University of Oklahoma in Norman; her daughter, Ashton Hurt of the home; her parents, Rev. Elroy Martin and LaJoyce Martin of Henryetta; a brother, Kevin Martin and wife Karen of Lometa, Texas; a sister, Bethany Sledge and husband Rev. Carl Sledge of Hennepin, OK; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Janice Hurt of Morris; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael Hurt and wife Tiffany of Okmulgee and Keith Hurt and wife April of Sapulpa; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christi Switzer and husband Jeremy of Tulsa; and a host of many nieces, nephews, church family, friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Ken Berry, Rick Mitchell, Michael Hurt, Keith Hurt, Jeremy Switzer, and Carl Sledge. Viewing and visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, from 8:00am to 8:00pm on Friday and 8am to 10am Saturday. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Interment will follow the service at Salt Creek Cemetery in Wilson under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
