Anna Rose Harjo

Anna Rose Harjo, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 71. She was born March 17, 1943 in Henryetta, OK to Oscar Harjo & Mollie (Faloppa) Harjo. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tammy Harjo, brother, Art Fields, brother Buster Bear Sr., brother, Claudie Fields, and by her sister, Alice Lewis. Anna is survived by her two children, Nancy Harjo-Watson & husband Kevin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Jason H. Harjo & wife Tabitha of Henryetta. She raised one grandchild, Mike Harjo as her own son. Her other eight grandchildren are: Jasmine Gutierez, Cordell Frye, Mollie Frye, Katcv Watson, Chitto Frye, Garrett Harjo, Chelsea Harjo, and Hagin Harjo; one great grandchild, Nokos Harjo; one sister, Liza Harjo & husband Frank of Konowa, Oklahoma, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers: Buster Bear Jr., Alvin Bucktrot, Sundy Lewis, George Fields, Eddie Bear, Wayland Gray, Kevin Watson, and Rance Fogle. A wake service is scheduled for 7pm. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Hickory Ground # 1 Church south of Henryetta. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00pm, Monday, October 20, 2014 at Hickory Ground #1 Church south of Henryetta with Rev. Mitchel Taylor and Rev. Walter Taylor Jr, officiating. Interment will follow at Harjo Family Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
