Anne Marie Murphy passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011. She was born to Willie B. "Jack" and Karen Murphy in San Jose, California on September 8, 1981. She graduated from Henryetta High School in 2000 and received her Associates degree from Oklahoma State University in 2005. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree in computer forensics. She was employed part time by Creek Nation and was to begin a full time position when she became ill. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Wanda Yaugher. She is survived by her parents, two children, Thomas and Anjaila "AJ" Poole and their father Jay and their grandparents, Linda and David Retherford of Henryetta, grandmother Mollie Washington of Clinton, OK., four brothers, Willie Murphy and Melvin Murphy of Sacramento, Ca., John Baker and wife Heather of Eau Clair. Wisc, and David Baker (currently deployed to Korea with the Navy) and wife Carey of Chesapeake, Va, four sisters, Pat Thomas of Sacramento, Ca., Erma McBride and husband Jerry of Sacramento, Ca., Rhonda Smith of Sacramento, Ca. and Cheryl Jones of Atlanta, Ga., a host of aunts, uncle, cousins, nephews and nieces. Anne was a member of the Creek Deer clan. Anne enjoyed talking on her cell phone, camping, and hanging out with her many friends. She was a devoted and loving mother. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 3:00PM at the New Beginnings Baptist Church of Henryetta with Pastor Walter Taylor, Jr. officiating.
