Anthony Wayne Monahwee

Anthony Wayne Monahwee, a beloved resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on November 7, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Steven Chuck Monahwee and Anna (Bullard) Monahwee, Anthony lived a life enriched by creativity, family, and the simple joys of nature.

A gifted artist, Anthony expressed himself through his artwork, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of witnessing his creations. He also found peace in the outdoors, where he enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting-two of his favorite pastimes.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Chuck and Anna Monahwee, as well as his siblings: Steven Chuck Monahwee Jr., Sheril Murillo, Renee Monahwee, Michael Monahwee, and Yommie Monahwee Sr.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Monahwee of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Shelley Boland of Cushing, Oklahoma, Charles Edward "Eddie" McCormack II of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, his godson, Foster Switch of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; as well as his brother, Darren Monahwee of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at New Covenant Tabernacle, located at 18725 Highway 266, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Following the service, Anthony will be laid to rest at Hoffman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Monahwee, Heavy Monahwee, Jaylen Monahwee, Bo Clark, Parnell Dowling, John Dowling, and Brian Metcalf. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stenafaye Lay, and Theran Richards.
