Avery Christopher Moore

Avery Moore, a lifetime resident of Henryetta passed away Monday, April 2nd, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 18. He was born June 17, 1999 in Okmulgee to Lindsey Moore and Michael Thompson.

Avery was currently a senior at Henryetta High School where he served as the 2018 Homecoming King, was on the National Honor Society, the Henryetta High School Student Council. He also worked at Walmart in Okmulgee in the garden center.

Avery was an extremely talented athlete. His sweet smile turned into an intense and focused opponent on the football field. Avery played running back and safety for the Henryetta Knights. He was a very illusive runner that created problems for all his opponents. He rushed for over 2300 yards, had over 400 yards receiving and scored over 20 touchdowns during his high school career. Avery was a leader on the field that many players admired. His talent was recognized by coaches across the football community and this was made evident with him being voted All-District his senior year. Avery was also chosen to represent the Knights in the Eufaula All Star game. Avery was an intense competitor who loved his town and fought hard to ensure as many victories as possible.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Janice Thompson, paternal grandfather, Terence Thompson, maternal great grandmother Viola Moore, maternal great grandfather, Bill Moore, maternal great grandfather, Gene Donathan, and paternal great grandparents, Thurman & Madeline Wren.

He is survived by his mother, Lindsey Moore Macaluso & fiancee Todd Harris of Henryetta;
His father, Michael Thompson of Henryetta;
Stepdad, John Michael Macaluso of Henryetta;
Two brothers, Austin & Aden Macaluso of Henryetta;
Two sisters, Alyssa & Aubrey Macaluso of Henryetta;
Maternal grandparents, Joyce & Jeff Kerchee of Edmond;
Maternal grandfather, Raymond Moore of Henryetta;
Paternal great grandparents, Ralph & Frances Thompson of Henryetta;
Maternal great grandparents, Marie & Frank Porter of Henryetta;
Maternal uncle, Raymond John & Lori Moore of Edmond;
Paternal Aunt, Jennifer & Eric Clopton of Broken Arrow;
Also several great aunts, uncles, as well as a host of cousins and friends.

Viewing will be from noon until 8pm Saturday, noon until 8pm on Sunday and 8am until 11am on Monday at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Henryetta High School Gymnasium with Rev. Jack Vance & Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Austen Macaluso, Bo Adams, Drew Brown, Pepper Logan, Jaylan Campbell, and Jarrett Day. Honorary bearers will be Aden Macaluso, the Henryetta High School football team, and the Henryetta High School basketball team.
