Banson Hicks

Banson Hicks, a resident of Okemah, Oklahoma died Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Okemah at the age of 70. He was born April 11, 1940 in Okemah to Cheparney Hicks and Sarah (Coker) Hicks. Banson serves as pastor of Hicks Mission Buckeye Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Hicks, his parents, Chaparney & Sarah Hicks, brother, Jessie Hicks, sister, Maggie Hill, and by two grandsons, Isaiah and Isaac Stewart. Banson is survived by 8 children, Dwayne Hicks of Okemah, Vernon Hicks of Okemah,Michael Hicks & wife Wanda of Okemah, Hixton Hicks & wife Becky of Wetumka, Sherman Hicks & wife Chippie of Henryetta, Simon Hicks & wife Leslie of Tulsa, Sherry Hicks of Okemah, Farrah Hicks of Okemah, 23 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, sister, Louis Burgess of Welty, Oklahoma, brother, Wilson, Hicks of Okemah, twin brother, Hanson hicks & wife Alice of Okemah, sister, Joann Powell of Bristow, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wake services will be held on Sunday, Evening, May 2, 2010 at Buckeye Baptist Church in Mason, Oklahoma at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Buckeye Baptist Church in Mason. Interment will be in Hicks Family Cemetery in Mason under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
