Barbara Ann Painter

Barbara Ann Painter, 88, a resident of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away January 20th, 2025 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Barbara was born February 3rd, 1936 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Ora Gladys (Nance) and Boyd Miller.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James William Painter, sister, Dolly and brother, Haskell Boyd Miller.

Barbara was an old-fashioned 50's mom, she was in her element being a homemaker and caring for her family. She was an excellent cook, loved celebrating holidays with friends and family in the midst of great meals, especially her chicken and dumplings. Barbara was a Sunday School Teacher and active in VBS for many years at Immanuel Baptist Church where she and her family attended. She stayed busy in her many interests, reading, needlework and embroidery. Barbara was a talented seamstress, fashioning many of her own clothes and those of her children. She enjoyed playing bingo and Yatzee. Barbara was also known by her love of fashion, jewelry and her extensive collection of shoes. She extended her love and generosity to the many friends who became her family, she was the core of her family. Barbara will be remembered by the many lives she touched and will be missed dearly.

Barbara is survived by her children, Charlotte Herbert of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Ronnie Lee Painter of Bristow, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Shelly Diane Stout and husband Audie of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Ryan Clinton Tomlinson and wife Lorrie of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Bryan James Painter of Bristow, Oklahoma, Jennifer LeAnn Painter of Bristow, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Elisha K. Tomlinson of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Lindsey Ann Marie Stout of Glempool, Oklahoma, Reed Michael Stout of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Courtney Painter of Glenpool, Zachary Painter of Perryton, Texas , Emma McIntosh of Bristow, Oklahoma; siblings, Shirley Ruth Blackmon of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Wanda Petrone of Henryetta, Oklahoma.
