Bess M. (Reid) Standley, a resident of Whitney, Texas passed away June 13, 2015 in Waco, Texas at the age of 77. She was born September 11, 1937 in Henryetta to Herman Longstreath and Grace (James) Longstreath.

Bess worked in advertising for many years having been Advertising Manager at Henryetta Freelance for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Henryetta, and also the Red Hatters Club.

After moving to Whitney, Texas she moved to a retirement living center and won Country Club Retirement Center Queen.

She married Phillip B. "Phil" Standley November 2, 1985 in Henryetta. He preceded her in death May 20, 2006. She is also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Benny, Ray, and Donald Longstreath, also by one sister Margaret Longstreath.

Bess is survived by seven children:
Karen Sisson & husband Roger of Whitney, Texas;
Gary Reid & wife Becky of Oak Grove, Missouri;
Kevin Reid & wife Lana of Henryetta;
Curtis Reid & wife Shari of Indianapolis, Indiana;
Melanie Bailey & husband Guy of Hillsboro, Ohio;
James Standley of Tulsa;
Bobby Standley & wife Tonya of Glenpool;
Twenty-four grandchildren and Sixteen great grandhchildren;
Also by a host of friends and other relatives.

Viewing will be from 4 - 8 pm Monday at Integrity Funeral Service
and until service time on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be, Johnathan Reid, Cody Watson, Eric Potts, Greg Ward, Jerry Bailey, & Chris Spears. Honorary pallbearers will be Guy Bailey, Jr. and Ethan Watson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jerrod Dummond officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Following the graveside service their will be a time of Fellowship at the First Christian Church fellowship center located in the church basement at 5th & Cummings St.
