Betty Louise (Bowdler) Brittain, a resident of Blanchard passed away Saturday, January 30th, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 88. She was born March 31, 1932 in Henryetta to Tom and Violet (O') Bowdler. She married the love of her life, Dwane Brittain July 23, 1951 in Dewar. She worked as a personal assistant at the Houston Community College for many years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom & Violet Bowdler, her husband, Dwane Brittain, siblings, John, Tommy, Julie Frances, Marguerite, Mildred May, Georgia, Buddy, Jessie, Viola and Mildred.
Betty is survived by three children, Virginia Schultz & husband Randy of New Castle;
Bonnie Williamson & husband Robert of Oklahoma City;
Dwane Brittain, Jr. & wife Virginia of Pasco, Washington;
Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren;
One brother, Anthony Bowdler & wife Sue of Oklahoma City;
One sister, Vera Ramsey of Carlsbad, New Mexico;
A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Viewing will be from 8am until 1pm Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 at Integrity Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Betty's grandsons, Walter Whitehead, Ray Simmons, Josh Schultz, Eddie Williams, Ryne Whitehead, & Jacob Whitehead.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3rd at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
