Betty Ruth Kempton

Betty Ruth Kempton, a resident of rural Weleekta, passed away on January 1, 2014 in her home at the age of 55. Betty was born on February 20, 1958 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Oscar Woods and Ethel Sanders Woods. Betty worked for several years as a certified nurse's aide. She was married to Patrick Kempton of Weleetka. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ervin Strickland and Dewey Strickland. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Kempton of the home; three children, Candy Marie Croan, Billy Jack Croan, and Danny Lee Croan; 2 brothers, David Woods of Arkansas and Dale Strickland of Pharoah; 2 sisters, Lilly Frair of Graham and Mary Lou Guest of Stillwater; several nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many good friends. A memorial service for Betty will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
