Betty Lorene (Mcelhanon) Dickey

Betty Lorene Dickey, a resident of Henryetta, died October 10, 2011 in Checotah at the age of 85. She was born on April 15, 1926 in Prague, Oklahoma, to Charlie Lee McElhannon and Frankie Audrey (Hampton) McElhannon.
Betty married the love of her life, Earl Dickey on June 24, 1944 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
She was a member of the Christian Assembly of God Church in Schulter.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charles Mack Dickey, stepfather, Fred Brown, 2 brothers, C.H. McElhannon, and Dee Brown; and one sister, Gay Beveridge.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Dickey of the home;
one daughter, Sue Moreland & husband Darrel of Checotah;
sister, Minnie Lou Smith of Checotah;
brother, Frank McElhannon of Henryetta;
as well as many other relatives, friends, and family of the heart.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Salt Creek Cemetery in Wilson with Pastor Notchie Twist and Rev. Charles Matlock, officiating. Services under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
