Bill Thomas West of Weleetka died Monday, July 8, 2013 at home at the age of 81. he was born December 10, 1931 in Henryetta to Robert and Louise (Kelly) West. Bill retired from the city of Weleetka as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching his western movies, listening to church songs and reading his hymn book and visiting with his grandchildren. His favorite Creek hymn was Jesus Mekko. He was baptized on July 5, 2013 at his home. Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert & Louise West, Son, Howard West, one brother, Barney West, and sister, Lillian West. Survivors include his wife Nellie West of 63 Years, sons, Charles West from Eufuala, Daniel West from Oklahoma City, Lumsey West from Wewoka and daughters, Wilma West From Weleetka, Betsy Roberts from Okemah, Sandra May From Okemah, Bettie West from Glenpool, Tina Pangle from 29 Palms, 32 grandkids, 34 great grandkids, and 1 great great grandkid, 5 sisters, Esther West, Mary Harjo, Sally Scott, Annie Parton, and Wanda King as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers; Terry Clark, Dave Pangle, Floyd Harjo, Scott May, Lynn Scott, and Tim Williams. Honorary Pallbearers; Jerome West, Kenneth West, Glen West, Billy Roberts, David Pangle Jr., Henry West, and Levi Vanzant. Wake Service will be at 7pm on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Thewarle Baptist Church in Dustin with Rev. John Wayne Tulsa and Rev. Eugene Whitlow. Funeral Services will be at 1:00PM on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Thewarle Baptist Church and burial at Mitchell Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
