Billy Jack "Cracker Jack" Burney was born January 16, 1943 in Hoffman, Oklahoma to Beulah & Charles Burney. He passed away, Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Hoffman at the age of 66. Billy Jack was a member of the Hoffman Baptist Church and also attended the Wilson Baptist Church. Billy Jack was a truck driver, elevator repairman, and escort for mobile home transport. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Helen Burney, his parents Charles & Beulah Burney, a stepson, Davie Smith, 4 brothers, Jimmy, Mac, Mervin & Otis Burney, as well as a granddaughter, Marsha Cook. He is survived by his wife Stella Smith Burney of the home 3 daughters, Crystalyn Cook & husband Marshall, Kusa, Oklahoma Sharon Burney & Jim Pilley of Henryetta, Oklahoma Aretha Sue Condren & husband Curt of Schulter, Oklahoma 7 Grandchildren & 5 Step Grandchildren 2 stepchildren, Eddie Smith & wife Darla of Inola, Oklahoma Misty Lynch & husband Jackie of Henryetta, Oklahoma Billy Jack is also survived by 9 siblings, Joanne Linley of Okmulgee C.W. "Kink" Burney of Hoffman C.M. "Dude" Burney of Hoffman T.L. "Pete" Burney of Hoffman Ethel Jane Owen of St. Louis, Missouri Allan "Oppe" Burney of Harrah-Newalla Norma Gadbois of Okmulgee C.C. "Hootie" Burney of Chicago H.L. "LuLu" Burney of Midwest City As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Memorial Services will be conducted by Billy Jack's family at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Hoffman Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Milligan, officiating.
