Sydney Brent Miller, a resident of Dewar passed away Friday, April 26th, 2019 in Henryetta at the age of 61. He was born November 4, 1956 in Tulsa to Alfred Miller and Sydna Jean (Fronabarger) Miller.
Brent was a graduate of Dewar High School and worked at Kelco in Okmulgee as a mechanic and maintenance for twenty years. He enjoyed spending time on the lake in the boat with family and friends, hunting and spending time working on anything in his garage. Brent loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Brent was raised in First Christian Church where he became a member. Later he became a member of the Dewar United Pentecostal Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sydna Jean Miller, his father, Al Miller, the love of his life, Glenda Sue Bardin, sister-in-law, Terry Miller, nephew, Randall Andrews, and by a grand nephew, Dash Day.
He is survived by a daughter, Natalie Miller of Henryetta;
Granddaughter, Sydney Edmondson of Henryetta;
Grandson, Tyler Sisson of Henryetta;
Four siblings, Suzanne Day & husband Dr. Patrick Day of Clinton;
Trent Miller & wife Sherry of Okmulgee;
Lynn Miller of Checotah;
Nancy Bridgewater & husband David of Bixby;
Step-mother, Pat Miller of Dewar;
Also by nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Brent will be 5-8pm on Wednesday, 8am-8pm Thursday and 8am-noon on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hurst, Ronnie Ruth, Eric Campbell, Shad Miller, Kenny Day, & Issac Richards. Honorary pallbearers will be, Kirk Ruth, Barry Ruth, Dan Bridgewater, Joe Bridgewater, John McGowin, and also in memory of Jack Weimer & Jimmy Pilley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gregg Joki officiating, assisted by Rev. Travis Buoy & a friend, Bobby Hurst. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
