Burt K (Nub) Martin

September 28, 1920 — October 25, 2019

Burt K. " Nub" Martin, a resident of Henryetta passed away Friday, October 25th, 2019 in Henryetta at the age of 99. He was born September 28th, 1920 in Gas City, Oklahoma to Fred Amandred Martin and Della Viola (Hahn) Martin.

Burt served his country with the United States Army Air Force and was a veteran of WWII.

He married the love of his life, Wilma Jean Williams on December 14th, 1946 in Okmulgee. Burt was a longtime member of the Immanuel Baptist Church where he proudly served in many capacities, and served as a Sunday School teacher until April of 2019. He was also a longtime Gideon with the Okmulgee Camp.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Martin, his mother, Della Craig, his wife Wilma Martin, brothers, Junie Martin, Elmer Martin, Roy Martin, Billy Martin, his sisters, Hester Martin Beasley, Zora Martin, Opal Martin Seago and Helen Martin Vance.

He is survived by his daughter, Sue Ann Martin of Henryetta;
Son, Duane Martin & wife Donna of Inola;
Grandchildren, Cari Ann Stanton & companion Leo Harley and son, Marcus;
Jennifer Miller of Inola;
Ken Meyer & wife Shana of Broken Arrow;
Julie Martin Wolfkill & husband John of Denver, Colorado;
David Martin of Inola;
Nine great grandchildren & one great great grandchild.
As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Okmulgee Camp Gideons will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Lawrence Matlock & Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
