Carolyn Sue Hines, a former resident of Henryetta, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 71. Sue was born on December 16, 1949 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to George Walker and Virginia Boydston Walker. Sue grew up in Weleetka and attended Weleetka Public Schools. She was married to Joe Dale Brown on May 31, 1954 in Weleetka. She remained happily married for 13 years until Joe's death in 1967. Sue was a loving homemaker and mother for many years. For the past 10 years, Sue has been the manager in the shoe department of Wal Mart in McAlester where she worked with great pride in her department. Sue loved to garden and enjoyed camping. Sue is preceded in death by her mother, Virigina Lee King; father, George Walker; son, Joe Kevin Brown; brother, Roy Lee Lancaster; and her grandmother, Ella Boydston. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Holt and husband Mike of Pittsburg, OK; a son, Jimmy Dale Brown and wife Roseanna Brown of Henryetta; 9 grandchildren, Kimberly Holt, Kristy Crowson, Dustin Gregg, Travis Brown, Chelsie Brown, Amber Brown Jennings, April Brown, Lindsey Brown, and Brandon Brown; a sister, Liz Factor of Norman; 9 great grandchildren; a niece, Angie Madden of Norman; a nephew, Glen Allen Kramer of Eufaula; by many other extended family and many good friends. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:00pm at Weleetka Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma with Glen Kramer officiating. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Travis Brown, Mike Holt, Dustin Gregg, Glen Kramer, Cole Rickett and Robert Locklear.
