Carolyn Rainwater, a resident of Checotah, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 in Fort Smith, AR at the age of 76. She was born January 5, 1942 in Dallas, TX to Austin Lackey & Lillian (Morton) Lackey.
She was a longtime member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church in Checotah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, also by two brothers, Howard Lackey and George Lackey.
Carolyn is survived by her son:
Robert Rainwater Jr. & wife Dawn of Checotah, Oklahoma,
four grandchildren:
Robert Rainwater III & wife Nichole of Sand Springs, Oklahoma
Cody Rainwater & Fiancé Andrea Baros of Checotah, Oklahoma,
Tristan Rainwater of Checotah,
Dakota Rainwater of Checotah,
sister-in-law, Gemey Nell Lackey of Okmulgee, Oklahoma,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
There will be a private family memorial service.
