Carolyn Sue Tamplen

Carolyn Sue Tamplen, resident and former Mayor of Schulter, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, May 02, 2013 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 61. She was born September 05, 1951 in Henryetta, OK to Cody & Neva Guthrie. She was a member of the New Hope Church in Hitchita. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Cody and Neva Guthrie. Sue is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Tamplen of the home, daughter, Geneva Bolenbaugh & husband Michael of Marlow, Oklahoma, daughter, Katina Carlton & husband Justin of Tahlequah, and son Steven Tamplen & wife Shellie of Okmulgee, nine grandchildren, Jasmine, Brieanna, LaShae, Kadin, Aaron, Lillieanna, Kacie, Tré©, and Aurora, 2 sisters, Margie Stafford & husband Ronney of Owasso, and Paula Mell of Wagoner, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Ralph W. Tamplen, Billy Tamplen, Daniel Tamplen, Stoney Nicholson, Tyler Upchurch, and Kent Morrow. Honorary Pallbearers will be Freddy Nicholson, Robert Tamplen and Ralph Tamplen. Viewing will be held from 2-8pm on Sunday, May 5 at Integrity Funeral Service. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, May 6, 2013 at Schulter First Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Barton and Rev. Lee Nuckolls, officiating. Interment will follow the service at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
