Charles E. "Chuck" Swearengin, Jr., a resident of Henryetta, passed from this life on Friday, October 6, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 43. Chuck was born in Colorado Springs, CO on January 25, 1974 to Charles E. Swearengin, Sr. and Jonalene Jordan.
At approximately 11 years old, Chuck moved to Henryetta with his family. Chuck attended Henryetta Public Schools and graduated from Henryetta High School with the class of 1993. Chuck was extremely active in sports, having played football at Henryetta High School. He was also involved in the Henryetta High School band, the wrestling team, and he was a member of the golf team. Chuck competed in rodeo events and loved skateboarding. Following high school, Chuck attended Tulsa Welding School, where he graduated, and put his welding skills to work. After working several years as a welder Chuck worked briefly with a fire sprinkler safety company and later worked as a tables game manager for both Creek Nation Casino and Osage Casino. Chuck also volunteered his time in coaching a flag football team. Chuck spent the last several years working as a bending engineer for an oil and gas pipeline company. Chuck was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth Ellen Earnest in Henryetta. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and he will be missed by the many who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Makayla Swearengin; and grandparents, Mary and Charles Swearengin.
Chuck is survived by his wife Beth Swearengin of the home; 5 children, Chloe Swearengin of Henryetta, Charles E. Swearengin III of Ohio, Michael Snider of Henryetta, Jacob Snider of Henryetta, and Steven Snider of Henryetta; a grandson, Charles E. Swearengin; 5 brothers, Dakota Swearengin of Henryetta, Ronald Swearengin of Ohio, Michael Nelson of Missouri, James Troy Nelson of Texas, and Kirk D. Peters of Florida; by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family; as well as many good friends and coworkers.
A memorial service for Chuck will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Integrity Chapel with Frank Earnest officiating.
Honorary bearers will be Michael Coln, Johnny Stem, John Earnest III, and Dustin Ivey.
