Charletta Jane Atherton

Charletta Jane Atherton, a resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, entered life June 28th, 1937 to Ralph and Becil Ruth in Welling, Oklahoma by midwife Mamie Moore.

She entered eternal life July 20th, 2023 at the age of eighty-six years and twenty-two days. Baptized at Welling, Oklahoma by Brother Johnny Corter August 6th, 1951 at the age of fourteen. Charletta married Bill C. Atherton February 11th, 1956 by his Uncle Bill Evans. To this union was born a daughter, Cindy Ruth April 18th, 1957. A son was also born Leonard Charles September 16th, 1960.

Charletta was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Ralph and Becil Ruth, sister Phyllis Fowler, daughter Cindy Ruth of Oklahoma City, and grandson Brandon Charles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Charletta is survived by son, Leonard and wife Rucilla of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, Adam Faulkner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Felicia Pipher and husband Tyler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Amber Rising and husband Brad of Chandler, Oklahoma, and five great-grandchildren and sister, Connie Parks and husband Ronnie of Henryetta, Oklahoma and a host of other dear family and friends.

Viewing is scheduled for 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 26th, 2023, at Integrity Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Brother Gary Evans and Brother Gary Robinson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Faulkner, Phillip Vandaveer Jr., Cory Vandaveer, Brent Fowler, Shawn Thompson, Kevin Parks, Mitchell Parks, Steven Morgan and David Noss.

Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery, 2302 West Main Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma 74437.
