Charline Virginia Brownfield, a resident of Dewar passed away December 26th, 2024 in Dewar at the age of 77. She was born February 25th, 1947 in Altura, California to Claude and Thelma (Drain) Cook.
She attended Dewar Public Schools and later married James Ray Brownfield December 18, 1963 at Dewar First Baptist Church. She worked at Dewar School Cafeteria and was a member of Dewar Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Brownfield, a granddaughter, Jimmie Brownfield, her parents, Claude (Moody) Cook and Thelma Cook. Also by her siblings, Claudine Self, Leslie Cook and Charles Cook.
She is survived by her sons, Kim Ray Brownfield and Jim Ray Brownfield and wife Angela; Grandchildren, Kaylon Brownfield, Kali Waters and husband Logan; Colton Brownfield and wife Ashley, Emily Lahr and husband Ronnie; Great Grandchildren, Trinity Brownfield, Weston Brownfield, Walker Brownfield, Stormie Lahr and Wrenley Brownfield. Also by a host of friends and other relatives.
There is no viewing scheduled for the public.
Pallbearers will be, Josh Been, Leslie Cook, Eric Carter, Brent Rich, Chase Whitmire and Logan Waters. Honorary pallbearers will be, Derek Brownfield, Jim Stotler, Kiley Stroud and Kerry Been.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 31st, 2024 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Hoffman Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
The family has requested donations be made to the Dewar Booster Club.
