Charlotte Sue Kramer

Charlotte Sue Kramer, a longtime resident of Weleetka, Oklahoma died Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Tulsa at the age of 67. She was born November 12, 1941 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Robert Kramer and Vivian (Day) Kramer. Sue graduated from Weleetka Schools in 1959 and had the honor of being the homecoming queen in the 1958-59 school year. Sue went on to college and graduated from East Central State College in 1965. She began her teaching career in 1966 in Bearden, from there she taught at Mason then Graham schools before settling at Weleetka Schools in 1976 teaching Junior High Science and English for 33 years. Sue is a current member of the Weleetka Rural Fire Dept. Board, president of WeAct (Weleetka Association of Classroom Teachers), past county president of OEA, she was a Yellow Dog Democrat, Co-Chairman of Okfuskee County Democratic Party, Democratic Precinct Chairman. She was an active participant in State Representative, Glen Johnson's Campaign. She served as president of the Board of CREOKS. She was a member of Deep Fork Community Action Board, president of the Weleetka Alumni Association, Chairman of the Weleetka Alumni Scholarship Board, former owner of the Weleetka Video Store, a booth sponsor for the Weleetka Pride Day, sponsor of the Weleetka Junior High Science Club, former Weleetka Schools Play Sponsor, past concession stand sponsor, and past Junior High Graduation Sponsor. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe & Lilly Day and Roy & Anna Kramer She is survived by her parents, Robert & Vivian Kramer of Weleetka, her three brothers, Richard Kramer & wife Sylvia of Henryetta, Glen D. Kramer & wife Wilma of Henryetta, and Leroy Kramer also of Henryetta, also by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Family has designated the ASPCA, The American Cancer Society, The Weleetka Alumni Scholarship Fund, and the Mary Walker Cancer Fund, and the Weleetka Highschool Citizenship Scholarship Fund, all appropriate organizations to donate in her honor. Pallbearers will be Dan Parish, Bill Winn, Chris Carter, Ron Hunter, Jim Rayburn, and Jerry Porter. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Weleetka Public School Gymnasium in Weleetka, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka under direction of Integrity Funeral Service. Condolences may be sent at www.integrityfuneralservice.com.
