Claud Vernon Ward, Sr.

Claud Vernon ("C.V.") Ward, Sr., a longtime resident of Henryetta, died peacefully at his home Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age 76. C.V. was born May 17, 1933 in Henryetta to Felix & Flora Ward. C. V. married Eileen Marie Barrett on August 11, 1952 in Bayonne, New Jersey. C.V. was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the United States Navy. C.V. was a minister with the full Gospel Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Eileen Ward, his parents, Felix & Flora Ward, son Vernon Ward, a daughter Mary Eileen Ward, sons-in-law, Gary Dwiggins & Tommy Moffett, grandson, Mark Moffett, and a brother, Charles Ward. He is survived by nine children: Carol Ward of Henryetta, Lilly Dwiggins & husband Randy of Henryetta, Claudette Dwiggins of Henryetta, Ruth Connell & husband James of Dewar, Verna Kissee & husband Ray of Henryetta, Flora Moffett of Henryetta, Richard Ward & wife Dana of Dustin, Nancy Davis & husband Gerald of Henryetta, C.V. Ward II & wife Vickie of Henryetta, 34 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Lilly Jeffrey & husband Charles of Jenks, Alice Jones of Houston, Texas, Flora Anglin & husband Jim of Broken Arrow, 1 brother: Richard Ward of Claremore, As well as a host of friends and other relatives Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Northside Worship Center with Rev. Will Gordon & Rev. Don Crosby, officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
