Cleo Ruth DePalmo, a resident of Henryetta, died peacefully in her home during the early morning hours of Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the age of 89.
Cleo was born on June 15, 1921 in Paris, Ohio to Benjamin and Martha Leipper Stoffer. She grew up around the Paris area and attended school there. She married Ernest DePalmo on July 19, 1944 at Malvern, Ohio. She was a long-time member of the Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest who died in 1994; both her mother and father; one daughter, Kay Diane Collingsworth; 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Nadine Johnson and husband Doug of Henryetta; 3 sons, Charles DePalmo and wife Tammy of Minerva, Ohio, Ernest R. DePalmo and wife Debbi of East Canton, Ohio, and Jeff DePalmo and Karen Butler of Fort Smith Arkansas; 1 brother, Rollin Stoffer of Minerva, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass Service will be held at St. Gabriels Catholic Church in Minerva, Ohio at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 17, 2011. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Eastlawn Cemetery in Minerva.
Services were entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
