Clyde Elmer Rhoades a resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 in rural Henryetta at the age of 74. Clyde was born on June 16, 1937 in rural Hanna, Oklahoma to John James Rhoades and Nellie Evelyn (Jones) Rhoades. Clyde proudly served the United States during the Vietnam War in the Army as well as the Navy. He was very active in the VFW Post 1189, Okmulgee and was a member of the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. Surviving family include his wife, Barbara Rhoades of the home, 6 children, John Rhoades & Linda Cousins of Henryetta, Clyde William Rhoades & Jackie Fitzpatrick of Henryetta, Jeannie Wilson & husband Russell of Sapulpa, Kevin Ray Rhoades of Okmulgee, Sheryl Haley & husband Aaron of Dalton, Georgia, Linda Yampanis & husband Matt of Carthage, New York, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Virginia West & husband Ray of Henryetta Ruth Baker of Moore, Oklahoma, brother-in-law, Virgil Jackson of Henryetta, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta at 10:00 a.m. Military honors will be provided by the VFW. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
