Shurden Funeral Home 411 West Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) 652-4461 Fax (918) 652-4451 Dalton Ralph Robertson, a resident of Park Hill, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Dalton was born on March 13, 1937 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to George Robertson and Willie Mae Coffee Robertson. Dalton was known as a hard-working and honest man. He worked for approximately 22 years for Cook and Weaks Construction Company as a construction worker. He later worked several years for the Whitlock Saw Mill and for the foundry in Sapulpa. He retired in 1995 while working for Delaware County as a heavy equipment operator. Dalton was married to Evelyn Jouise Canoe on March 111, 1973 in Marietta, Oklahoma. They remained married for over 40 years before his death. The couple attended the First Assembly of God church. Dalton is preceded in death by both his mother and father; and by three sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Robertson of the home in Park Hill; two daughters, Cheryl Spencer and husband Carl of Muskogee and Jan Morrison of Chelseea; by two step-daughters, Liz Deer and husband Robert of Okmulgee, and Tanya Gann of Tahlequah; four step-sons, Dennis Arneecher of Tahlequah, Benny Arneecher of Muskogee, Terry Arneecher and wife Brenda of Tahlequah, and Ray Arneecher of Davis, OK; three sisters, Virginia Couch of Morris, OK, Suzie Pickle and husband Ronald of Henryetta, and Norma Williams of Henryettta; 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; by a host of extended family and many good friends. Viewing will be held at Shurden Funeral Home on Sunday, April 28 from noon until 8pm, Monday, April 29 from 8am until 8pm, and on Monday from 8am until 11am. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30 at 2:00pm in Shurden Chapel with Rev. Corky Pinkston and Rev. Richard Canoe officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Coal Creek Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Darren Hammer, James Couch, Raymond Chandler, Andrew Pinkston, Bobby Arneecher, and Michael Smith.
