David John Cecrle

David John Cecrle, aged 85, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014. David was born on April 26, 1928 in Starke County, Indiana, to Edward and Ruth (Regnold) Cecrle. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Paul. He is survived by his wife, Roy Ann Cecrle of Henryetta, Oklahoma; his sons Jon Cecrle and his wife, Barbara, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Andrew Cecrle and his wife, Donella, of Mansfield, Texas, Joseph Cecrle and his wife, Donna, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his daughters Joy Taylor and her husband, Kenneth, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ruth Jackson and her husband, John, of Estacada, Oregon; by thirteen grandchildren and step-grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his brothers, Benjamin Cecrle and wife, Joan, of West Melbourne, Florida, Charles Cecrle and wife, Joyce, of Melbourne, Florida, Sam Cecrle and wife, Judy, of Walkerton, Indiana; sisters Betty Upham of South Bend, Indiana, Lou Goddard of Niles, Michigan, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. After graduating from High School in Indiana, he attended and graduated from Apostolic Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Throughout his life he remained an avid reader and loved exploring the world around him. David was happiest when imparting the knowledge he had acquired to family and friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a hard-working, self-employed man and continued working well into his 80's. A memorial service will be held in David's honor on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the United Pentecostal Church of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 10:30am. In his honor, and as an appropriate memorial, the family encourages you to contribute to your favorite charity.
