Born on November 3, 1951, to Billie Murdock and Wilda (Sanders) Bunyard, Debi's warmth and vivacity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered throughout her 72 years of life.
Debi attended local schools and graduated from Henryetta High School in the class of 1969. Her dedication to her community was evident in her long-standing career as a secretary for the Okmulgee County District Attorney's office, where she retired after many years of faithful service. Her professionalism and kindness made her a beloved figure within the office and the wider community. Her spirit of service extended beyond her professional life. Debi attended the First United Methodist Church of Henryetta, Oklahoma where she found solace and joy in her faith and fellowship.
Debi's life was rich with love and laughter, shared with her devoted husband of over 30 years, Eddie Whitson. Together, they built a life filled with mutual respect, support and affection. Debi's role as a mother was one of her greatest joys. She is survived by her son, Brock Woodard, and his wife, Anna, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Her love and legacy continue through her grandchildren, Lyric Woodard and Kinley Hodges, also of Broken Arrow, who will forever cherish the memories of their doting grandmother.
Her family circle included her brother, Mike Murdock of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Step-sister Trellis Massey, with whom she shared a lifetime of sibling camaraderie and cherished memories. Her step-daughter Tammy Woodard-Padget of Henryetta, Oklahoma, who will miss Debi's guidance and warmth. Her Aunt Patty Hines, cousins Jannie Coleman and Connie Anglin will remember Debi for her unwavering support and the countless moments of joy they shared.
