Delsin Albert Gouge, a resident of Okmulgee, OK passed from this life on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the age of 28
Delsin was born on October 19.01991 to Wilford Gouge and Rhonda Gouge in Tulsa, OK
Delsin was later adopted by his aunt and uncle Evelyn Wood and Mike Wood.
Delsin grew up in Oklahoma City where he attended school and later transferred to Eufaula Boarding School where he attended for a short time and played football for the Eufaula Ironhead team
Delsin loved to watch OU Football and OKC Thunder Basketball and Houston Rockets Basketball and often would catch a a game with family and friends.
Delsin was a kind loving free spirit who never met a stranger. He enjoyed meeting and talking to others and loved being a friend to everyone he met.
Delsin grew up attending church at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness and later became a proud member of Hillabee Ceremonial Grounds.
Delsin loved his Mvskoke Creek Culture and took great pride in learning ceremonial songs and Creek hymns. He was often given great compliments on his hard work and efforts to help others whenever and wherever he was needed
Delsin could always be found in attendance at Muscogee social gatherings.
Delsin was known by many nicknames he gave himself often in an effort to make others laugh,
Delsin is preceded in death by his father Wilford Gouge, his paternal grandparents Albert and Sallie (Spaniard) Gouge, Uncles Wilbur, Ernest Ray and William Gouge, Aunts, DeeAnn Gouge, and Nancy Gouge-Deere, a Cousin Stephen Albert Gouge and a brother Michael Brandon Wood.
He is survived by his Mother Evelyn M. Wood , of the home, "Aunt Liz" Elizabeth Townsend of Okmulgee, OK, Tina Gouge of Houston, TX, Helen Gouge of Wetumka, OK, and a host of cousins and other family and many, many friends who loved him very much. as well as Christianne of Indiana, Shawn of Oklahoma and Anthony of Tulsa.
Delsin was known by many nicknames he gave himself often in an effort to make others laugh. Among those nicknames were, Del City, Bailey Hill Gouge and more, most recently, Opv.
Delsin was loved and appreciated for his silly sense of humor and will always be known for making others smile and laugh.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28th, 2020 at Phillip Deere Round House in Okemah with Chebon Kernell officiating. Interment will be in Gouge Family Cemetery in Hanna. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
