Dessie Mae Gulley, a resident of Okemah passed away Monday, May 5th, 2014 in Okemah at the age of 90. She was born February 11, 1924 in Beaver Mountain, Oklahoma to Lewis Eugene Beard and Phoebe (Stephens) Beard. Dessie married Clifford C. Gulley in Spiro, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford C. Gulley, her parents, a brother Clifton Eugene Beard and two infant sons. She is survived by three daughters: Louise Cheatwood of Okemah; Barbara Teafatiller & husband Bill of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Kay Duke & husband David of Okemah; One son, Billy Joe Gulley of Okemah; Grandchildren: Curtis & Julie Crosby, Beverly Dudley, Gretchen & Dave Aude, Tracy & Britt Dean, Bryan & Amanda Duke, Toni & Jay Bell, Terri Johnson, Ricky & Pat Gulley. Seventeen great-grandchildren, Thirteen great-great grandchildren Two sisters, Iva Hamilton of Henryetta; Eva Bennight of Quinton; A host of friends and other relatives Pallbearers will be, Bryan Duke, Curtis Crosby, Derrick Crosby, Anthony Young, Ely Caviness, Danny Crosby, & Jay Bell. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Quinton, Oklahoma with Sis. Wilma Jo Mahan, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery in Whitefield, Oklahoma. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
