Dewayne Kenneth Montgomery, 91 of Henryetta, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 24, 1929 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Benjamin Leon and Thelma Faye (O'Neal) Montgomery.
Dewayne attended school at Tiger Mountain and joined the Army in Oklahoma City and trained as a sharp shooter at Fort Ord, California where he served one tour before reenlisting into the Air Force where he served 4 years and decided to reenlist into the Army. Dewayne worked for the US Government in the Motor Pool division from which he would retire. He Spent his retirement years working on his clocks or repairing vehicles. He enjoyed his time being a homebody and helped his family with rides and visiting. He had a favorite cat named "Goldie Hawn" to whom he offered buttermilk or whole milk to drink. Dewayne loved and helped his children playing with them, using them as weights lifting them up and down. In his later years, he enjoyed his coffee and the leisure of being retired and he was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Dewayne is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hannah Mae Montgomery, wife, Dora Lee (Fordyce) Montgomery, daughter, Renee' Prado and a sister, Glenda Montgomery.
He is survived by five sons, David Montgomery of Hawaii, Dennis Montgomery of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Donald Montgomery and fiancee Cheri Lyn Necessary of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Marcus Montgomery of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Michael Montgomery and wife Kim of Oklahoma, sister, Rita Montgomery, grandchildren, Derek Montgomery of California, Dawn Cheri Montgomery of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Collin James Montgomery of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Addie Montgomery of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Nina Flores of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Viewing for Dewayne will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Integrity Chapel.
