Donald Edward Thompson, a resident of Schulter, Oklahoma, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 69. He was born June 5, 1942 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Floyd Thompson and Mary (Greenhaw) Thompson. Donald married Annette Jackson on November 20, 1965 in Okemah, Oklahoma. He graduated from Dewar High-school in 1960. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Thompson, his son, Donald "Rusty" Thompson, grandparents, Manson & Gertrude Greenhaw, and Joe & Viola Thompson, brother, Manson Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Annette Thompson of the home in Schulter, three sons, Wendell Thompson & wife Candi of Schulter, Gerald Thompson of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Kevin Don Thompson of Schulter, grandchildren, Julia Thompson, Cole Thompson, Jake Thompson, Kendyll Thompson, Zoie Thompson, and Zani Thompson, brother, Harvey Thompson of Okmulgee, brother, John Wayne Thompson & wife Aree of Tahlequah, sister, Zilah Murray of Okmulgee, sister, Jo Vinson of Okmulgee, brother, Edward Johnson & wife Sally of Okmulgee, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Cole Thompson, Jake Thompson, Cliff Baker, Kenny Durbin, Danny Cox, and John Likowski. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don's Sunday-school class and the deacons of Schulter Baptist Church. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Schulter Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Odell and Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow the service at Salt Creek Cemetery in Wilson, Oklahoma under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
