Dora Mae Kaler, a lifelong resident of Hitchita, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 1, 2014 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 83. She was born November 30, 1930 in Hitchita, OK to Lester Castleberry & Gertrude (Kitchens) Castleberry.
Dora Mae married Troy Kaler on January 21, 1949 in Checotah, Oklahoma.
She was a loving mother and a wonderful cook. She was a member of the Former Hitchita Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Gertrude Castleberry, her husband, Troy Kaler, her son, David Kaler, one brother, Charles Castleberry, two sisters, Cartherine Luellen and Betty Kelough.
Dora Mae is survived by her daughter, Rita Carson & husband David of Hitchita, 2 grandsons, Thomas Little of McAlester, and Billy Little of Hitchita, 3 great grandchildren, Haley Little of Wagoner, Joshua Thompson of Claremore, and Thomas "TJ" Little of McAlester, great-great grandson, Kaiden of Wagoner, her twin sister, Cora Rae Davis of Boynton, sister, Vanita Self of Ada, Oklahoma, and by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 12pm - 8pm at Integrity Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 and from 8am-11am on Thursday, February 6, 2014.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Hitchita Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Carson, officiating. Interment will follow at Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita, Oklahoma under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
