Doris Mae Friend

Doris Mae Friend, a lifetime resident of Henryetta, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 81. She was born February 24, 1929 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Glen and Willie Mae Coleman. Doris worked for several years as a supervisor with Bell Telephone Company in Henryetta. She married Floyd H. Friend July 15, 1950 in Henryetta. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Willie Mae Coleman. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Friend of the home Three cousins, Janice Prentiss of Oklahoma City, Ronald Coleman of Los Angeles, California Bob Coleman of San Antonio, Texas As well as a host of friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Maurice Mims, Danne Spurlock, Chad Spurlock, Lloyd Morris, Charles Remer and Jimmy Humphrey. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Abundant Life Church in Henryetta with Suzie Stephens, officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
