Doris Ann Walker

Doris A. Walker, a longtime resident of Henryetta passed away Sunday, July 27th, 2014 in Tulsa at the age of 72. She was born February 28th, 1942 in Pampa, Texas to James Weldon Bullard & Viola (Jenkins) Bullard. Doris married Charles Walker February 3, 1961 in Sayre, Oklahoma. She worked for many years as a hairdresser at Bushwhacker's and retired in 1999. Doris was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Henryetta, St. Michael Altar Society and the Wilson Thimble Club. She is survived by her husband Charles of the home; Five children: Steve Walker & wife Kathy of Ada; David Walker & wife Dena of Galveston, Texas; John Walker & wife Kristy of Okmulgee; Susan Chowins & husband Ted of Henryetta; Mary Stephens & husband Buddy of Henryetta; Fourteen Grandchildren: Ray, Bradley, Tommy, Tony, Cody, Alexis, Abby, Hunter, Aulden, Ely, Carlie, Austin, Zach, & Kayleigh; Eight Great-grandchildren; Two brothers: Bill Bullard & wife Becky of Denton, Texas; Rick Bullard & wife Debbie of Pampa, Texas; Four sisters: Mary Parr of Ponder, Texas; Martha Butler & husband Kenny of Denton, Texas; Quannah Jenkins of Pampa, Texas; Patti Weatherall & husband Tommy of Canton, Texas; As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday until 6:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Integrity Chapel. Pallbearers will be Cody Walker, Ely Starkey, Tommy Walker, Tony Walker, Ray Walker, Brad Walker, & Austin Stephens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter Chowins, Zach Stephens, Dillon Padgett & Jeremiah Winney. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Benjamin Vima as celebrant. Interment will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson Community under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
