Doris Ann (Bean) Jordan

July 6, 1947 — March 9, 2020

Doris Ann (Bean) Jordan was born at home in the Shady Grove community, July 6, 1947 and departed this life March 9, 2020 in Henryetta after a battle with dementia.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roger Jordan, Sr., a son, Michael Lynn (Sugar Bear) Adair, her father, Leonard Hood and her mother, Irene Dobson.

Doris graduated as salutatorian from what was then Sequoyah Training School. Doris was a member of the Cherokee Nation and spoke fluent Cherokee. In warm weather, you could usually find her on a creek catching crawdads and fishing or swimming with her kids and any other kids who wanted to go along. She was known for fun and exciting adventures. She was an excellent cook who could cook anything and make it tasty. She could bake and was well known for her homemade hot rolls and cinnamon rolls. She loved cooking for family get togethers and would make everyone's favorite. Doris worked for a number of food establishments in between raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lisa Ann Sherman & husband Ken, Lincoln Lee (Doxie) Adair, Jr. & wife Vickie, Shelly Jordan and fiancee Denny, Kelly Jordan & Angie, Roger Dale (Bo) Jordan, Jr., & wife Alicia, and daughter-in-law Jodi Adair;
Sisters, Seibrena Casey, Linda Hood, Diana Ballard, Janet Coon and Sandra Morrison;
Brothers, Gary Hood and Mitchell Dobson;
Grandchildren, Hallie Bryan, Michele and Devon Magee, Randi Griggs, Blake and Kierstin Adair, Harley and Justin Orman, Katelyn Jordan and Theron Howard, Kayleigh Wood, Jorge (TJ) Jordan, Taryn Jordan, Stephan Jordan, Claudia Richmond, and Meredith Jordan, and Samantha Adair;
Nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends;

A memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
