Dorothy L. Cowan, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 91. She was born September 30, 1926 in Checotah, OK to Wiley Whisenhunt & Bessie (Cooper) Whisenhunt.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henryetta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Bessie Whisenhunt, her husband, Donald Cowan, daughter, Cindy Board, granddaughter, Amy James, three brothers, and 6 sisters.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Stan Cowan & wife Marianne of Haskell, Oklahoma,
son, John Cowan of Henryetta, Oklahoma,
two grandchildren, John David Cowan of Henryetta,
and Jessica Combs & husband Kord of Haskell,
two great grandchildren, Jace Cowan and Amaya Cowan of Minnesota,
as well as many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Triplett Cemetery near Texanna, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
