Dortha "Ricky" Southern, a resident of Wilson Community was born July 15, 1929 in Beggs, Oklahoma to George F. Repsher and Edna Wilson Repsher. She passed away November 27, 2013 in Okmulgee at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 13 days. Dortha "Ricky" Repsher Southern married Raymond "Bunny" Southern in Okmulgee on March 27, 1946. While a teenager Ricky worked at Newberry's Five and Dime in Okmulgee and later years worked as a cook in the Wilson School Cafeteria. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Edna Repsher, her husband Bunny in 2007 , one son Garland in 1970, two brothers, four sisters, two sons-in-law, Richard Gunter and Don McCart, one grandson, Lannie Tucker, one great grandson, Justin McCall and a nephew she thought of as a son, Orville Southern. She is survived by four daughters: Cleta Southern of Okmulgee; Veta Repsher of Okmulgee; Donna Gunter of Seminole; Vicky Mosco and husband Eddie of Wilson Community; A nephew she thought of as a son Tom Southern and wife Della of Guthrie; A niece-in-law she thought of as a daughter-in-law, Debbie Southern of Coalgate; Eight grandchildren, Tim McCall and wife Angela of Okmulgee; Grant Tucker and wife Pam, Wentzville, Missouri; Darrell McCall and wife Pam, Okmulgee; Roger McCall and Lanita, Okmulgee; Rhonda Kanard, Schulter; Richard Gunter and wife Tanya, Wewoka; Angelia Berryhill and Jim, Schulter; Ronnie Been and wife Shelly, Okmulgee; Twenty-three great grandchildren, Eighteen great-great grandchildren; As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Viewing will be Monday, December 2, from 4 to 8pm, and on Tuesday from 8 am until 8 pm with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
