Douglas Bruce Smith

Douglas Bruce Smith, a resident of Dewar passed away Monday, December 20th, 2021 in Dewar at the age of 76. He was born September 20, 1945 to Ted Dennis Smith and Roberta Hope (Goff) Smith.

Doug was a United States Veteran serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He worked for many years in the pipeline industry and retired in 2007. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ed Smith, and a nephew, Davey Smith.

He is survived by two sons:
Darin Smith & wife Jamie of Keifer;
Larry Smith & wife Christie of Dewar;
Four grandchildren, Brittanee Smith, Hadyn Smith, Darin Smith II & wife Allison & Ellee Miller & husband Ayden;
Five great grandchildren, Alee Thomas, Bree Johnson, Kayson Taylor, Lexie Smith, & Tiger Lily Smith;
Also by a brother, Dickie Ted Smith & wife Louann of Hoffman;
A sister, Judy Childress & husband Bill of Stillwater;
Also by nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Viewing for Doug will be from 3-8pm Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Darin Smith II, Hayden Smith, Ayden Miller, Jody Smith, Carl Snow & Drew Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayson Taylor, Jason Childress, Cash Childress, Jace Smith, Eddie Smith, Raymond Dean Hammer, David Smith & Duke Britt.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 27th, 2021 at Salt Creek Cemetery with Rev. Darin Smith officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
