Dwane Theodore Brittain, a resident of Blanchard, formerly of Henryetta passed away October 03, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 83. He was born July 15, 1931 in Tiger Mountain, OK to Ernest Theodore Brittain & Vida (Smith) Brittain. He married the love of his life Betty Louise Bowdler on July 23, 1951 in Dewar, Oklahoma. Dwane served during the Korean Conflict with the US ARMY, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vida Brittain, one sister, Ruth Richardson, and two brothers, Ronald Brittain & Donald Brittain. Dwane is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Brittain of the home, three children, Virginia Schultz & husband Randy of Newcastle, Oklahoma; Bonnie Williamson & husband Robert of Oklahoma City; and Dwane Brittain Jr. & wife Virginia of Pasco, Washington; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother, Leo Brittain & wife Karen of Wichita Falls, Texas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm and from 8am-12:00pm on Wednesday at Integrity Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be, Josh Schultz, James Brittain, Walter Whitehead, Ed Williams, Ray Simmons, and Tony Luciano. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryne Whitehead, Eddie Williams, Jacob Whitehead, and Karter Simmons. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
