Edna Mae Mitchell

Edna Mae "Mehake" Mitchell, a resident of Chouteau passed away Thursday, August 10th, 2017 in Muskogee at the age of 85. She was born May 8, 1932 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Artis Tiger & Sarah (Lindsey) Tiger. She was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Henryetta.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Charlie Hicks Sr. and her second husband Martin Mitchell, also by one son, Babe Hicks, a granddaughter Shelly Harjo, two brothers, Tom Tiger & John Scott Tiger, a sister, Mamie Barnett and two step-daughters, Mary Pigeon and Liza Hicks.

She is survived by three children: Sally Taylor of Dewar;
Beatrice (NMN) Scates & husband Tracy of Chouteau;
Charlie Hicks Jr. & wife Belinda of Henryetta;
A step-daughter, Winey Beaver of Henryetta;
Twenty one grandchildren;
Twenty four great grandchildren;
Nine great-great grandchildren;
Also by a host of friends and other relatives.

Viewing for friends will be from 2-4pm on Sunday at Integrity Funeral Service.

Wake services are scheduled for Sunday, August 13, 2017 at New Beginnings Baptist Church.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2017 at New Beginnings Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Taylor, Rev. Dale Beaver, & Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Tiger Family Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be, Lil John Rex, Rylan Hicks, Sr., Michael "Skelly" Taylor, Joshua HIcks, Ashton Taylor,, Legend Taylor and Buffalo Barnett. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Lucas Taylor, Tracy Scates, Sonny Beaver, Rylan Hicks, Jr., Samuel Buckley & Garrett Harjo.
