Edward "Eddie" Lee Starr, a resident of Haltom City, passed away October 26, 2019 in Ft. Worth, TX at the age of 70. He was born Sunday, September 18, 1949 in Henryetta, OK to Amos Starr & Elizabeth (Yargee) Starr.
He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a decorated veteran receiving a Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation with ribbon bar, Meritorious unit Commendation with ribbon bar, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one silver star and one bronze star, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantry Cross Color, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Civil Action Color (First Class), and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Starr, parents, Amos and Elizabeth Starr, brother, Frankie Lee Starr, and brother, Walter Starr.
Edward is survived by
daughter, Kate Starr & wife Imeshia of Haltom City, Texas,
daughter, Autumn Starr of Chicago, Illinois,
grandson, Atticus Starr of Haltom City, Texas,
step grandchildren, Dee Dee, AJ, JD, Jo'Lyssa, and TC,
brother, Amos Starr Jr. & wife Sheldon of Okmulgee,
sister, Etta Checotah of Okmulgee, Oklahoma,
as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 2-8pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Service are scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
